If a school districts in South Carolina requests your home school provide them with documentation of association membership, do not and callus A.S.A.P.! State law does not require this, and homeschoolers who are members of such associations are not obligated to comply with such requests.

I/We, the undersigned, agree to the following terms of membership set forth by South Carolina
Code of Law Section 59-65-47 and those of New Beginnings Home School Association; and
I/We the Parent / Legal Guardian / Foster Parent and the only approved Teacher for all mandated
subjects, and (who is/are the legal guardian (s),hold a High School Diploma or GED; and
agree to teach 180 days within New Beginnings Home School Association's 365-day enrollment
school year. (Be able to obtain 180 days from August 01 through July 31); and
agree to plan an appropriate course of study for each student in the core subjects of reading,
writing, mathematics, science, and social studies,and in grades seven through twelve, composition and literature; and agree to maintain educational records including:
1 - A plan book, diary, or other record indicating subjects taught and activities engaged in; and
2 - A portfolio of samples of the student's academic
work; and
3 - A semiannual progress report including attendance records and individualize documentation of the student's academic progress in each of the basic instructional areas specified above; and
agree to mail to New Beginnings Home School Association the Statement of Compliance form on
or before the last day of July. (Members will need to complete, sign and mail or fax to New Beginnings
Home School Association the Statement of Compliance form, once your home school has completer the 180 attendance days.); and
agree to Respect and Uphold the Privacy of ALL MEMBERS; and
agree to make all my records available to New Beginnings Home School Association for viewing at New Beginnings Home School Association’s request, in the event of any legal challenge requiring New Beginnings Home School Association’s confirmation of your legal status on your behalf; and
understand that giving any inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete information (in any respect) will result in the immediate termination of membership from this association; and
understand New Beginnings Home School Association holds all copyrights to any and all association issued paperwork. Further, all association issued paperwork may not be copied and or maintained by any official, unless said official has obtained specific written permission from New Beginnings Home School Association Director.
